Tools for Schools!

Achieving success typically requires the proper set of tools.  When much needed tools are not at hand, the outcome for the task can be delayed or not achieved at all.  That’s why The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc. is partnering with hundreds of community members to deliver the tools our students need to begin a successful new school year in September 2018; school supplies.

From July 2 to August 24, Education Champions will be collecting supplies, making monetary donations and volunteering their time and talent to support this initiative.  Tools for Schools is part of the BCPS Back to Schools Involves You Too! campaign.  Everyone from retires to elected officials and business partners have a stake in ensuring a successful start to the new school year for our students and teachers.

Last year the school supply drive received over 36 pallets of materials.  In addition, over 700 teachers registered to collect supplies at our pop-up school supply store near Boscov’s at White Marsh Mall.  This year, we hope to break that record by providing even more supplies to our students, teachers and classrooms.

It’s easy to participate.  When you choose to collect supplies at your company or organization, you can request a box/bin from the foundation for collections, or you can drop off supplies at the many stores, branches and locations listed below.  You can also make a monetary donation or volunteer.  All the information, resources and tools you need can be found on The Education Foundation Web site:

Drop off locations include:

  • Baltimore County Public Library branches
  • Office Depot/Office Max locations in Baltimore County
  • First Financial Federal Credit Union branches
  • Slice in Towson and White Marsh
  • Boscov’s White Marsh
  • The Education Foundation headquarters
  • Pinder Plotkin LLC

You can also bring supplies while you visit Farmers Markets at the Towson Farmer’s Market on Thursday’s, or Pikesville Farmer’s Market on Tuesday’s where you can help Stuff a Bus.  Dates and times can also be found on the foundation Web site.

The fun doesn’t stop there.  Baltimore County Public Library has already signed up to host Saturday at the Lot at the Cockeysville Library Branch where you can Stuff a Bus and participate in engaging activites.

Join us!  Help our students prepare for tomorrow with tools to build their future and participate in the Tools for Schools, schools supply drive.  Thank you for your generosity.
