Contribute to the Exchangeree: Options Available
There are several ways to contribute to the foundation's Exchangeree. For ease of use, the foundation has created registries at the following locations: Amazon, Target, and Walmart. In order to receive free shipping, minimum purchasing requirements are subject to each vendor. Most vendors require membership. If you would like to make a simple monetary contribution, a link to the foundation's "Give" web page is also provided. The option to volunteer at either of the two Exchangerees or schedule a drop-off of school supply donations is also an option. To participate, click on any of the buttons / links provided that best fit your contribution.

About The Exchangeree
Our community recognizes the need to support our teachers and students lacking appropriate school supplies and resources, and has rallied to make a difference through giving to the Tools for School campaign. The response from the community embracing that effort has been inspiring, and to build upon the campaign the Education Foundation has launched an initiative to make donated resources and supplies available to teachers for free year-round through opening a new community resource center called "The Exchangeree."
Through partnerships with the Merritt Companies and The AVENUE at White Marsh, The Education Foundation of BCPS opened two permanent locations for teachers throughout the district to obtain much needed schools supplies for their students at a brand new teacher exchange resource center. The locations have been furnished through in-kind resources and partnerships, namely American Design Associates and Douron Furinture Solutions.
The first ribbon cutting for THE EXCHANGEREE at Windsor Mill was held on December 19, 2018. In attendance were members of the business community and organizations supporting the campaign. To view photos of the event, please visit our Photo Gallery. The second location for THE EXCHANGEREE at The AVENUE at White Marsh was launched in the fall of 2020. View the launch ceremony here.
Teachers now have an opportunity to sign up for sessions to visit the locations and receive free school supplies for students in need, year-round. The link to sign up will be provided on a scheduled basis with the dates for shopping opportunities. Through the scheduling link, BCPS educators will be re-direct to Eventbrite for session registration.

- FACT: On average, it costs approximately $50.00 in schools supplies to help a child begin the school year with the tools they need to succeed.*
- FACT: On average, a teacher spends approximately $500 to provide supplies to students in his/her classroom from their own income. **
- FACT: Everyone can help in one way or another with time, talent or treasure.
We thank you for supporting students in need during the school year. Let’s help our teachers provide the tools needed for success. Thank you!
