About The Exchangeree

Our community recognizes the need to support our teachers and students lacking appropriate school supplies and resources, and has rallied to make a difference through giving to the Tools for School campaign. The response from the community embracing that effort has been inspiring, and to build upon the campaign the Education Foundation has launched an initiative to make donated resources and supplies available to teachers for free year-round through opening a new community resource center called "The Exchangeree."

Through partnerships with the Merritt Companies, The Education Foundation of BCPS opened two permanent locations for teachers throughout the district to obtain much needed schools supplies for their students at a brand new teacher exchange resource center.  The locations have been furnished through in-kind resources and partnerships, namely American Design Associates and Douron Furniture Solutions.

The first ribbon cutting for THE EXCHANGEREE at Windsor Mill was held on December 19, 2018. In attendance were members of the business community and organizations supporting the campaign.  To view photos of the event, please visit our Photo Gallery.  The second location for THE EXCHANGEREE at Rosedale/Golden Ring (RGR) is new, located at 6929 Golden Ring Road, Baltimore, MD 21237.

Learn more about the Exchangeree here.

Teachers now have an opportunity to visit the locations for shopping sessions with no registration, and receive free school supplies for students in need, year-round.  See the schedule to the left for upcoming shopping dates and times.
