Ravens Players Visit Berkshire Elementary School
On April 2, Behavior Intervention Specialist Joel Gamble, surprised his students at Berkshire Elementary School. Through The Joel Gamble Foundation, he was able to bring two NFL players to speak to all of the classes at Berkshire.
Baltimore Raven & Super Bowl Champion Bryan Hall, and former Baltimore Raven & current Tennessee Titans LB Brandon Copeland both visited Berkshire. The players spoke about the importance of education in order to become successful. They also encouraged students to have good behavior in school. Students were able to interact and ask players questions ranging from, “Is football hard?” to “Where is your Super Bowl Ring?” Each teacher received an autographed action picture of each player to hang in their classrooms. Hall and Copeland told the students that a few years ago, they were actually sitting in classrooms just like them and spoke about the importance of listening to their teachers and how it translated to listening to their coaches on the field.
Berkshire Elementary School uses Positive Behavior Intervention to enforce good behavior at school. What a great incentive this was for the students to continue to do well in class!
