“We are delighted to have Debbie bring her many years of experience in Maryland education to our board,” said Jennifer Bodensiek, president and CEO for Junior Achievement of Central Maryland. “Her insights will help to ensure that our programs remain relevant to educators as we expand our outreach in the state and aim to foster college and career readiness among the 40,000 students we serve each year.”
Phelps, who received a bachelor’s degree in education from Fairmont State College and a Master of Education Management and Supervision degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, has been honored throughout her career for accomplishments in education and leadership.
