Superintendent Dance Named a Top Next Wave Professional by LinkedIn

LinkedIn named Superintendent S. Dallas Dance a top 10 Next Wave professional in education. The networking site touted his approach to communication and called him “the new model for a big-city superintendent.”

“It’s an honor to be chosen from among so many innovative leaders and influencers from around the country,” Dance said. “Recognitions like these are a testament to the way Team BCPS continues to build on its already strong foundation while coming up with inventive ways to meet the needs of each and every student.”

According to the LinkedIn website, the Next-Wave list is a new quarterly series celebrating professionals and companies that are doing extraordinary work and transforming their fields.

“Our Next Wave list highlights the 150 professionals, ages 35 and under, who are changing 15 different industries through their brilliant ideas, driven management and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Daniel Roth, LinkedIn’s executive director on the company’s website.

“They set absurdly high goals for themselves. They are focused on changing lives first and building a good business second,” he said.

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network with 300 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the globe.
