2015 Outstanding Youth Fundraiser Awards

This year’s ‘Outstanding Youth Fundraiser Awards’ application deadline is right around the corner.  The youth throughout our community are doing great things and they deserve to be recognized for such.  The awards are given every year by the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP) to acknowledge school-aged fundraisers who are “actively engaged in projects to help their community.”

The award winners are evaluated using the following criteria:

• Evidence of quality of leadership and organizational abilities
• Originality and creative thought of a fundraising project
• How the funds raised within Maryland benefited a non-profit organization or community, locally, nationally, or internationally

Students from elementary school to high school are included in this award and can be part of an outside group, club or organization that is not necessarily school related.  If you know or wish to nominate a young person who has been actively engaged in bettering their community for this award, please fill out an application by June 30, 2015.
