David Garbarino

Dave is the Market President for BB&T’s Baltimore City, Baltimore County & Harford County markets.  He is a member of the Maryland Region’s Senior Leadership Team.  Dave has been with BB&T since 1999 and serves as the market leader responsible for coordination and promotion of the Bank's image within the community.  A graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Dave is also a graduate of BB&T’s Leadership Development Program.  He has attended the three-year Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Dave resides in Sparks, Maryland with his wife and three children.

Vested in an organization where ten values are the key to success, Dave has been actively volunteering in various organizations such as:  The First Tee, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Junior Achievement and the Special Olympics.  He has served as a Board Member for The Entrepreneurship Institute of Washington DC, The Young Musical Scholars Foundation, Montgomery County, MD Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and The Diamond Dream Foundation.

Current Board positions include the Kennedy Krieger Institute, the Boy Scouts of Central Maryland, Junior Achievement, The Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore and The Baltimore Downtown Partnership.  Dave was selected as one of the Baltimore Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2013.

Mr. Garbarino witnesses daily the education excellence that is implemented within Baltimore County Public Schools through the voices of his sons who attend Sparks Elementary School, Baltimore County Public Schools.
