MISSION MOMENT: CAL RIPKEN, SR. FOUNDATION OPENS 500TH STEM CENTER AT LANSDOWNE MIDDLE SCHOOL
On April 11, a ribbon-cutting ceremony launched a new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center at Lansdowne Middle School. The turnkey STEM Center was donated by the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation in partnership with the Exelon Foundation and BGE as an opportunity to apply the key lessons from sports – teamwork, respect, communication, and resilience – to improve students’ literacy, processing, and research skills.
