Welcome New Board Members

On Thursday, September 13, 2018, The Education Foundation of BCPS, Inc. held its first Board Meeting of the year. Newly elected board members were welcomed with enthusiasm and current board members returned, ready to steer the foundation towards this year’s initiatives with eagerness to make an impact.

The foundation is fortunate to have the talent and diversity needed to contribute to a great team. Please join us in welcoming its newest board members:

Kristin Huber, Marketing at Advance Business: Kristen has helped pilot the foundation’s new apprenticeship program by supporting apprenticeships at Advance Business. Advance helps organization tackle business problems by pairing best in class technology with the best support. Whether it is network integration, multifunctional devices, or a software application, they design solutions for productivity so you can focus on your core business.

 

Paul Hume, Principal at GWWO, Inc./Architects: Paul has more than 20 years of experience in the architectural field, most recently almost exclusively on the planning and design of Maryland educational facilities. Dedicated to improving learning environments for Maryland’s students through the renovation and new construction of facilities that embrace technology and sustainability. Consistently supports State of the Schools and Tee Off for TEAM BCPS sponsorships.

 

Pat Isaac, CEO, Chief Strategy Officer at Capital Services, Inc.: Pat believes that our young people are the future of our country and she wants to help create opportunities for them to become the best that they can be and live a purpose driven life. Capital Services engages with “Global” clients to help them design Employee Benefits Packages that attract and retain “High Performers” to their organizations by way of using their “Digital Health” and other advanced proprietary methods.

 

Cindy Jones, Youth Outreach Manager at First Financial FCU: Cindy has supported Tools for School! New Teacher Orientation, State of the Schools, provides partnership with CTE and the Dr. Marchione Scholarship, provides BCPS Scholarships for graduating seniors and collaborates closely with BCPS and Financial Literacy Program. First Financial is a long standing advocate of BCPS offering opportunities in financial literacy.

 

Brandon McMann, General Manager iFly Baltimore: Delivering the dream of flight to everyone. Brandon partners with the foundation by providing STEM Initiatives, an iFly Scholarship Program and supported the first Inaugural Learning Walk of Knowledge at State of the Schools 2018 as a Resource Partner. IFly supports Tools for Schools initiatives and the Tee Off for TEAM BCPS as a sponsor.

 

 

Paula Miller, Director at Baltimore County Public Library: With a passion and commitment for the power of public libraries to provide opportunities and to serve as a resource to help communities thrive. Paula has supported the foundation with the Schools Supply Drive, Library Card Program, and Summer Reading Program. This year’s Back to School Involves You Too Campaign is being supported through a “Stuff the Truck” celebration at the Cockeysville Branch Library this year.
