Mission Moment Celebrating Excellence…Part 2
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” — John Quincy Adams
The Education Foundation of BCPS truly appreciates the people who serve on the foundation board volunteering their time, talent and treasure with guidance and counsel. Several special recipients were recognized this year at the May 10th Celebrating Excellence Breakfast at Padonia Park Club.
The first recognition was the winner of the Leadership Award, presented to Mr.Tim Bojanowski, Principal of Zest Social Media Solutions, LLC. Through his continuous ambassadorship providing connections throughout the community, time volunteered towards major projects and sustaining new initiatives, Tim has fulfilled a wide range of endeavors, leading by example, the positive impact one can have through action.
Another prestigious award, was co-presented to two foundation board members, Mr. Gary Berger, President/CEO of HMS Insurance Associates, Inc. and Mr. Phillip Martien, President/CEO of Phillips Way. Together they received the Board Member of the Year Award, recognizing their dedication and management over one of the primary annual events for the foundation which brought both monetary benefits and elevated a community presence amongst business partners both current and new.
Additional recognition was given to board members who have served their term, in acknowledgement and gratitude for their service and dedication. We thanked the following people; Ms. Joy Howard, Chesapeake South Direct of Operations for UPS; Mr. Jimmy Lien, General Manager of Cintas Baltimore; Ms. Jennifer Miller, Office Depot’s Mid-Atlantic Region, Education Division, Instructional Lead Consultant; Mr. Steve Navarro, Managing Director & VP of Client Strategy of Right Source Marketing; Mr. Steve Prumo, 1st Vice President, Wealth Management Financial Advisor of the Prumo Group; Mr. Dennis M. Bonnie is the Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper for The Education Foundation of BCPS. She is retiring (again) at the end of June. We will miss her very much and wish her much happiness in the next adventure of her life.
A special shout out goes to Mr. Matt Musgrove, Chief Operating Officer and his team at Padonia Park Club, whose venue provided a bright and welcoming environment to celebrate the many people the foundation is thankful for.
