BCPS Student Achiever Night at Royal Farms Arena
A Night of Recognition and Celebration
The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc. has partnered with the Baltimore BLAST for several years, with the partnership growing stronger in support of our 110,000 students in our District. On Friday, December 4, 2015, at Royal Farms Arena, The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc., supported our home town soccer team at BCPS Student Achiever Night. Among the 8,953 fans in attendance you saw our elementary, middle and high school students, teachers, administrators and parents scattered throughout the stands cheering on the BLAST to defeat the Sockers 8-5, remaining undefeated.
The BCPS Student Achiever Night is a night where BCPS students are awarded FREE BLAST game tickets for academics, perfect attendance, character, etc., by their school administration. Each student who is recognized by their school, for one of the named categories, are given a special flyer for their achievement which is redeemable by mailing or faxing with their ticket order directly to the BLAST offices. Tickets are then sent to the individuals who complete the process. Parents and family members, neighbors and friends also attended the game at a discount. For every ticket purchased from the program, the Foundation received two dollars from the BLAST organization. All proceeds support 21st Century Instructional Initiative Grants and post-secondary scholarship opportunities for our students.
During the opening ceremonies, students were recognized on the field for their accomplishments.
