“Principal for a Day” invites business leaders into schools to learn more about education
What: Business leaders across Baltimore County will visit BCPS schools during the week of February 23–27 as part of “Principal for a Day,” a new outreach campaign to strengthen the connections between the county schools and school system and the business community in Baltimore County. As they visit schools, the business leaders, which include those already partnering with schools in their communities, will be able to observe classroom instruction and learn about the role of principals in BCPS schools.
When: School hours, Monday, Feb. 23, through Friday, Feb. 27
Where: At selected schools across Baltimore County
Background: The “Principal for a Day” campaign arose from interest expressed by members of the superintendent’s Business Advisory Council, which meets monthly with BCPS Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance to discuss issues of mutual concern and interest to the business and education communities. Visits will take place throughout the week and have been either coordinated through BCPS or arranged between principals and existing business partners in a school’s local community.
