$40,000 Award to Baltimore County Public Schools from The Education Foundation
In the early fall of the 2013-2014 school year The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools offered elementary, middle and high schools the opportunity to apply for up to $2,000 to support instructional projects. The project had to address an identified need(s) that is aligned with BCPS goals for academics, strategic initiatives and key action as stated in the BCPS Blueprint 2.0: Our Way Forward and the School Improvement Plans. Grant proposals had to address at least one of the following instructional focused 21st century themes:
- Financial, Economic, Business and Entrepreneurial Literacy
- Environmental Literacy
- Arts and Culture
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
- Health Literacy
Recipients awarded project funds were based on the project’s anticipated contribution to essential knowledge and skills students must have to be successful in life and employment in the 21st century. Recipients of the 2013-2014 grants are as follows:
