FreeA Learning Experience for BCPS Educators
In partnership with Education Champion: Microsoft
Purpose:
An initiative to extend, enhance and enrich learning in the 21st Century.
Registration is limited to Baltimore County Public School Educators. Please bring your BCPS ID upon arrival.
25 Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. If your name is placed on the waiting list you will be contacted if any spaces become available.
Description:
Part 1: Taking Student Book Presentations to the Next Level with Microsoft Sway
Participants will spend the day getting excited about the many tools Microsoft has to offer. Educators will reflect and create a customized toolkit of resources to increase engagement, efficiency and develop modern skills for a global classroom/society. Throughout the day participants will engage in a series of immersive learning activities that will build a strong understanding of how to use technology to improve instruction and meet the learning needs of their students.
Part 2: Shop for free at The Exchangeree
Upon completion of the experience, participants will have the opportunity to shop at The Exchangeree. All items that will be provided that day are free. A designated list of items will be provided which will identify quantities and availability.
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2019
Time frame: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
All resources will be provided for the session.
Objectives
* Provide exposure to Microsoft technologies and resources that support student-centered learning
* Experience hands-on activities and participate in best practice conversations for innovating teaching with Microsoft tools
* Develop resources to use with students
Target Audience
The primary audience for this session is teachers, empowering educators, teaching in a variety of settings.

12:35 p.m.: Overview of other Microsoft Tools for education
12:50 p.m.: Break – Light lunch will be provided
