A Tools for School sensation!

About THE EXCHANGEREE.  The community has expressed a continuous concern for students in need, pertaining to the availability of schools supplies, through the ongoing activity of giving to the Tools for School campaign. For that reason, The Education Foundation of BCPS, in partnership with the Merritt Companies, is opening a permanent location for teachers throughout the district to obtain much-needed schools supplies for their student at a brand new teacher exchange resource center.

The ribbon cutting for THE EXCHANGEREE will be on December 19, 2018.  After the ceremony, teachers will have an opportunity to sign up for sessions to visit the location and receive supplies for students in need, year-round, through Eventbrite.  The link to sign up will be provided on the Foundation’s Web site as well as in the BCPS Bulletin.  The Official Grand Opening will be held in the latter part of January 2019.

During the cold winter months, the Foundation has added other new items for community collection.  In addition to the Tools for School supply list, a Share the Warmth list has been provided to those who wish to collect hats, gloves, scarves and mittens.

Additional information regarding location, hours of operation and session dates will also be provided in the very near future on our Web site.

We thank all who have supported the Foundation as we move forward in providing resources to our students and teacher.  Stay tuned.  There’s more to come!
