The Education Foundation Helps Kick Off the United Way Campaign
On Thursday, October 24, 2013, employees of Baltimore County Public Schools (offices and schools) gathered at Patriots’ Plaza in Towson with the Baltimore County officials/Office of the County Executive, Kevin Kamanitz to introduce the unofficial start of 2013 United Way Campaign. During the kick-off event Patriots’ Plaza received a new name, “United Way,” as the school system and the County unveiled the signage.
The Stoneleigh Elementary School Steel Drum Band filled the air with tropical music and various groups, including The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, sponsored booths to provide informational items to those in attendance.
BCPS employees and others should keep watching both the BCPS website and The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools website for more information about this year’s United Way campaign and how to contribute. Again this year, your United Way contribution can be designated to benefit Baltimore County schools directly through The Education Foundation. When making your donation this year, please designate The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc. Code #5910 when supporting the United Way of Central Maryland.
