Join the Movement #GivingTuesday

ad542e8d-2957-428d-be58-30d3470b2525On November 29, 2016, The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools will be participating in #GivingTuesday—a day which promotes charitable donations across the globe.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday allows us the opportunity to give back to organizations and foundations that support causes around our community and beyond. Last year, the #GivingTuesday campaign raised more than $115 million, gaining over 1.3 million social media mentions and 1.08 million online gifts.

Please join The Education Foundation of BCPS in supporting this movement by giving back on #GivingTuesday.

The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc., provides support for the continuous growth and success of BCPS students and their families. Our funds are designated to support S.T.A.T. – (Students and Teacher Accessing Tomorrow) and other district-wide initiatives, 21st Century Instructional Initiative Grants (awarded to schools to enrich, extend and enhance the academic and behavioral settings of each school), and Scholarships (which provide our students with resources to attend post-secondary education facilities).

Here are some of the ways that you can participate:

  • Encourage your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors and social networks to get involved by using the hashtag #GivingTuesday
  • Inspire them to volunteer, become a Team BCPS partner, donate or organize a campaign that promotes the cause
  • Post a photo on social media and share on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter showing how you plan to support #GivingTuesday with the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #TeamBCPSGivesBack
  • Donate to The Education Foundation in support of Baltimore County Public Schools

Give back this year and make a difference with Baltimore County public schools.
